MCS has revealed plans to launch a pilot for a Thermal Energy Storage Systems (TESS) Installation Standard and a System Performance Estimate Standard.
TESS, which include heat batteries, have emerged as an important technology in the UK’s transition to net-zero, due to their ability to make the most of cheaper (typically off-peak) electricity tariffs.
