We are delighted to join Thermal Storage UK as a founding member. This new trade association has been established to promote the use of thermal storage in buildings in the United Kingdom and other countries to achieve net zero. The mission is to take the carbon out of heating buildings.

Wokingham-based tepeo, inventor of the award-winning Zero Emission Boiler (ZEB®), has secured funding for a £1 million project with grant funding from Innovate UK. The project will enable it to conduct deep research into the ZEB’s core technology, with a focus on optimising it for high volume manufacture.

We often get asked which thermostats or third party room controls the ZEB prefers, and how they should be configured; the truth is that the ZEB only needs a simple on/off call for heat - when heating is needed. You can simply retain your existing thermostat and timer. There’s no need to adjust any settings, just use the ZEB as if you were using your fossil fuel boiler.

The tepeo team has a new home in Winnersh Triangle, Wokingham! We’ve been settling in since the middle of October and fitting it out so we’re ready for 2022. We’ve also grown our team over the last few months so we’re now up to 22.

Latest tranche follows investment from UK’s Clean Growth Fund

tepeo, the British clean technology company that has developed a low-cost, easy-to-install Zero Emission Boiler (ZEB®), has closed a UK £3m investment round with additional investment from Bonheur ASA, a Norwegian-listed investment company, which has significant interests in the renewable energy and maritime sectors.

Clean Growth Fund leads £2.5m investment round in tepeo to support commercialisation of its Zero Emission Boiler for the domestic heating market

During our ongoing household trials, we have been testing our ability to charge our ZEBs using variable tariffs like Octopus Energy’s Agile tariff. One of our trial houses has had a ZEB installed since early December and we’ve been charging the ZEB using this tariff.
