The tepeo heat battery boiler charges using electricity, stores that energy as heat and then releases it through a wet central-heating system when your home needs warmth.
It charges like a battery and heats like a boiler.
It is not a storage heater and it is not a standard direct-electric boiler: a storage heater usually warms the room it sits in, and a direct electric boiler draws electricity at the moment heat is needed.
The tepeo ZEB heat battery boiler stores heat in advance. Smart Charging considers your tariff, local weather and expected heat demand when deciding when and how much to charge.
That means familiar radiator heating with greater flexibility over when your stored off-peak electricity is used.
The ZEB has a retail price of £6,000, but we’re currently offering £2,500 off through our early grant match, reducing the product price to £3,500.

The ZEB delivers heat through suitable radiators or underfloor heating, so the way your home feels remains familiar.
The ZEB considers your electricity tariff, the weather forecast and likely heating demand when deciding when and how much to charge to be efficient.
Unlike a direct-electric boiler, it does not need to draw all its electricity at the moment your home needs heat.
The ZEB does not burn gas, oil or LPG at the point of use.
Electricity prices change, but moving away from gas, oil or LPG can reduce your reliance on internationally traded fossil fuels.

In many suitable homes, the tepeo boiler can replace the central-heating function of a gas, oil or LPG boiler.
It can work with suitable radiators or underfloor heating. Existing radiators and pipework can often be retained, although this must be confirmed through our free home survey.
