6 things to check before switching to electric heating

A tepeo ZEB heat battery boiler works a little differently behind the scenes, while heating your home in a way that feels reassuringly familiar.
It simply charges, stores heat and releases it when you need it.
The ZEB uses smart charging to work out the best times to heat its ceramic core, making the most of cheaper, lower-carbon electricity and your energy tariff.
The heat is stored safely and efficiently inside the boiler’s ceramic core, ready to be released whenever your home needs it.
When your home needs heat, the ZEB sends it straight to your existing radiators or underfloor heating - just like a traditional boiler would.

Smart Charging is what makes the ZEB truly intelligent. It learns your home’s heating patterns, responds to the weather and works with your electricity tariff to decide when to charge and how much energy to store – helping you make better use of cheaper electricity and avoid charging when you don’t need to.
That means you can largely leave the ZEB to manage itself. It plans ahead, adapts continuously and keeps optimising in the background.
You can still see what it’s doing and take control at any time through the tepeo app.
Our heat battery boiler is designed for homes that want familiar central heating without gas, oil or LPG.
It is a great heat pump alternative if you do not have outdoor space, want to avoid a major retrofit, or need a lower-disruption installation.

The tepeo ZEB replaces the central heating side of your existing system. If you currently have a combi boiler, you’ll just need a separate hot water solution alongside it.
That’s a normal part of switching to any low-carbon heating, with several options available to suit different homes, spaces and budgets:
A reliable and cost-effective option that stores hot water ready for when your home needs it.
A more intelligent way to manage hot water, using controls to heat what you need more efficiently and help reduce unnecessary energy use.
A space-saving alternative to a traditional cylinder, storing energy in a compact unit and delivering hot water when you need it.
Your ZEB comes with up to a 10-year guarantee, plus two ways to keep it looked after: an annual ZEB Health Check or our monthly tepeo Care Plan, which includes additional monitoring and support.
And if you ever need a hand, you’ll have our customer team behind you. Great customer service is something we’re proud of, so you can buy your ZEB knowing you’ll be well looked after long after installation.
Ready to take the next step towards low-carbon home heating? Start by completing our simple home check.
If your home looks suitable for a ZEB, you’ll then be given the option to book a call with an expert at tepeo to chat through your needs, the installation process, and flexible financing options.
