What our customers say

A different route to low-carbon heating

Heat pumps are a great solution for many homes, but every property – and every homeowner – is different.

Here’s why many people across the UK are switching to a heat battery boiler:

No outdoor unit

The ZEB is installed entirely indoors, designed to replace an existing boiler, so there's no external unit taking up garden or outdoor space.

Keep your existing heating

Designed to work with suitable existing radiators, pipework and underfloor heating.

Lower-disruption installation

A ZEB can often be installed in just 1-2 days, without redesigning your entire heating system.

Familiar central heating

Heat is delivered through your radiators when you need it, giving you a familiar heating experience without burning any fossil fuels.

So, what is a heat battery boiler?

Charges like a battery. Heats like a boiler.

The ZEB uses electricity to heat a high-density ceramic core and stores that energy until your home needs it.

Smart Charging works out when and how much to charge, helping make use of cheaper off-peak electricity. The stored heat is then delivered through your existing central heating.

Unlike a heat pump, there’s no outdoor unit. Unlike direct electric heating, the ZEB can store energy ahead of time rather than drawing all of its electricity at the moment you need heat.

Get off fossil fuels before winter

If you’ve been considering a heat pump but the cost, installation or changes to your home are holding you back, the ZEB could offer a quicker, lower-disruption route to low-carbon heating.

As we head into the colder months, now is a good time to make the switch – before your current boiler breaks or installer availability gets busier.

Eligible customers can also currently get £2,500 off a ZEB through our Early Grant Match, making now an even better time to explore your options.
